The name Howdy Owl began as nothing more than a two-year-old’s gibberish—and quickly became a special part of our family’s story.

Years ago, Brett’s sister, Morgan, and her husband, Rob, came to visit Ashland from Boulder, Colorado. As Uncle Rob walked through the door, he greeted everyone with a cheerful:

“Howdy, all!”

Brett and Kate’s oldest son, Tom, was two years old at the time and always eager to learn new words and phrases. He looked puzzled for a moment, started giggling, and repeated what he thought he had heard:

“Howdy Owl?”

Everyone laughed. Tom then ran around the house, happily shouting:

“Howdy Owl! Howdy Owl! Howdy Owl!”

A few months later, Brett and Kate started a small wood wall art business on Etsy. When it came time to choose a name, they wanted something unique, personal, and memorable—something that would make people ask, “What does it mean?”

The answer was already part of their family.

And that was the beginning of Howdy Owl.

Howdy Owl creates custom signs, banners, graphic displays, decals, vehicle graphics, wall art, and other visual products that help customers communicate, promote, celebrate, direct, decorate, and get noticed.

We work with businesses, contractors, property managers, schools, sports organizations, churches, cities, event organizers, community groups, and individuals. You do not need to be a large company or place a large order to work with us.

Howdy Owl is located at 1323 Boyd Street in Ashland, Nebraska. We serve customers throughout Ashland, Omaha, Lincoln, surrounding communities, and across the United States.

Minimum quantities vary by product. Many products can be ordered individually, while others offer better pricing at higher quantities.

Yes. Many of our signs, banners, decals, wall displays, and other graphic products are available in both standard and custom sizes.

No. You can provide print-ready artwork, or Howdy Owl can help prepare a layout using your logo, wording, photos, colors, and project information.

Additional charges may apply for extensive design work, artwork recreation, photo editing, or repeated revisions.

Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG, or print-ready PDF files are preferred for logos and graphics. High-resolution JPG and PNG files may also work, depending on the product and final size.

Original artwork files usually produce better results than screenshots or images copied from social media.

Most new custom projects include a digital proof before production. Please carefully review all spelling, names, dates, phone numbers, colors, quantities, and other details before approving the artwork.

Turnaround depends on the product, quantity, artwork, materials, and current production schedule. Many standard products are completed or shipped within several business days after artwork approval and payment.

Yes. Pickup can be arranged at our Ashland location after you receive confirmation that your order is complete and ready.

Howdy Owl primarily provides signs, graphics, displays, and related products rather than on-site installation. We may be able to offer general mounting guidance or recommend working with a qualified installer.
